HOW DOES IT WORK?
Education is a shared experience and small group classes allow for effective learning to take place. Our online live and interactive learning platform connects students with an interest in a particular subject to a teacher who has a passion for it. Our lessons are highly engaging, challenging yet supportive. Everything an in-class teacher can do, so can we and a whole lot more!
Lessons start with a warm up or recall activity to strengthen students’ connections and understanding of previous lesson content. We introduce new topics, concepts and skills in small steps to avoid overloading students’ working memory and only proceed when these first steps are mastered. By utilising effective questioning and modeling techniques we guide students through new material. We understand that anything new can be daunting, so through support and positive reinforcement we support and develop student self confidence. We provide plenty of opportunity for students to work with new materials including rephrasing, elaborating and summarising before applying new content and skills to case study examples and examination questions. We ensure all students have a strong grasp of materials before moving on through the course. We scaffold and promote independent and shared practice and regularly return to topics, concepts and skills to develop threads to aid students in making connections and being able to automatically recall necessary materials. We challenge students and use a variety of assessment techniques to gather the data we need to inform our planning and progression through the course. Progress is measured against shared learning outcomes and objectives. Students know where they are in the course, what’s coming next and how to work towards their own goals and targets for the course.
THE STUDENT PORTAL
This is the gateway to our virtual learning platform.
Each student is given a username and password to access the portal. These log-in details must remain safe, remembered but never shared. If you require access to the portal then we will provide you with log-in details also.
Learning resources are uploaded to the Resources section of the portal to compliment work from the lessons. These are in a variety of formats and designed to support and challenge. This is in addition to the Activities section where tasks are uploaded for students to complete.
Finally, we believe that collaborative working and learning is important and as such students have access to a monitored forum where they can interact with peers from their school or college or students from other client schools or colleges.
Before students are granted access to the features of the Student Portal they must agree to the User Agreement. You will be informed of any breach of the agreement by one of your students.

Experienced Specialist Subject Teachers
You can feel confident and comfortable in the knowledge that all our teachers are subject specialists with at least three years classroom experience. We know it is not always possible to find specialist teachers to teach certain subjects; well you won’t have that problem here!
Online Safety
This is as important to us as it is to you. We take the issue of online safety extremely seriously. All our teachers are thoroughly vetted with enhanced DBS, reference, qualification and ID checks. All interactions with students are recorded and monitored.

Our online learning platform has all the teaching and learning functions a real classroom has. Live interactions via audio, video or chat box, interactive whiteboard, student participation and leading lessons, screen sharing, video and much more.
Convenient Timetables
You are free to choose when your lessons take place. When you have decided and we have confirmed the timetable slot is available, your lessons will take place at the same time on the same day each week. Thus helping students develop that routine we all know they need.
